As a political advocate and consultant, Mindy specializes in strategic planning, media relations, public speaking engagements, lobbying and general advocacy.  Additionally, she can assist in legal matters that may arise and offer legal consultation and advice on various issues facing interest groups.

Political Biography: Mindy has been an advocate for progressive groups since she was a small child.  Her mother first got her involved in politics surrounding issues of Abortion Rights in Utah.  There, Mindy was frequent protester against the right-wing agenda of the Utah Legislature. She worked as a volunteer for Utahns For Choice, Planned Parenthood and the Democratic Party starting in high school.  She continued her work for progressive values when she served as the Vice President of the National Organization for Women of Utah.  There she lobbied the state legislature on issues regarding women’s rights.

After obtaining two undergraduate degrees from the University of Utah in Political Science and Women’s Studies, she began law school at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego.  There her desire and willingness to fight for the progressive agenda grew stronger.  She was a legal intern for Planned Parenthood of Riverside and San Diego Counties throughout her time in law school.  She helped organize events and assisted in researching tax and campaign laws in relation to their advocacy wing.  Mindy also joined the National Lawyers Guild, perhaps the most progressive bar association in the United States.  She was soon the Vice President and later President of the law school chapter of the National Lawyer Guild.

Mindy had the honor of working side by side with Midge Costanza in the Public Relations Department of the San Diego County District Attorney’s Office. There she learned from Midge on how to write and deliver political speeches.  Mindy has always been an advocate for social justice and has never lost her focus to create real change in her community.
